EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In South American countries, a wide range of information on climate, the environment, and health is collected. This information is fragmented across different time scales. It is not always easy to locate, nor is it accessible, interoperable, or usable for addressing issues related to the climate-environment-health (CEH) nexus at different spatial scales. This exacerbates the gaps between data providers and users, science, and public policy. This proposal aims to design a digital platform that makes FAIR data (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) available on the CAS nexus through the transdisciplinary co-production of indicators in Argentina. Five phases were established to develop the proposal, based on the formation of transdisciplinary groups focused on different problem areas (pregnancy health, chronic noncommunicable diseases, occupational health, water security, and food systems). The work is initially framed within Argentina as a case study, but it is expected to subsequently expand to the regional level. Active participation by key stakeholders and potential users (primarily decision-makers) will be promoted throughout all phases. With the future implementation of the platform, the aim is to promote interoperability and the reuse of data flows to provide feedback to an integrated surveillance and monitoring system at the nexus between climate, the environment, and regional health, thereby supporting evidence-based decision-making.
