Naphtali John is a Trinidadian with a keen interest in climate resilience who graduated from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus in 2021 with a BSc. in Geography (major) and Terrestrial and Freshwater Ecology (minor). She then pursued a MSc. in Natural Resource and Environmental Management with a specialization in Climate Change at the Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES), UWI, Cave Hill Campus from 2021 to 2022. From July to October 2022, she was a Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) Intern at the UWI Global Institute for Climate Smart and Resilient Development where she acted as a research assistant. She was a NOAA-CERMES Climate Resilience Enhancement Programme Fellow researching risk communication for hydro-meteorological hazards in Trinidad and Tobago. She also has experience in ArcGIS products, R programming language and Statistical Package for Social Sciences.
