Early and mid-career scholars are encouraged to apply and take key responsibilities in the project, including as Principal Investigator (IP) and Co-PI. Any scientist from natural and social sciences, and the humanities, or stakeholder (as described in the call text) is eligible to apply as PI, Co-PI, or key investigator.<\/p>\n\n<p>Teams may apply with a transdisciplinary project focusing on:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Decision-science of environmental behavior and implementation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food, environment and biological security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Climate Risks to Ecosystems and Populations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Research projects should consider<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scalable implementation plans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced Early Warning System predictability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovative, open data solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Collaborative research approaches should address<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diversity, Equality and Inclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A focus on vulnerable communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A focus on Indigenous and local communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Projects can build capacity by<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strengthening communities of practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing Low and Low Middle-Income Countries\u2019 workforce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The IAI will support research projects for up to 3 years.<\/p>\n\n<p>Apply until <strong>July 15, 2023 <\/strong>with your preliminary proposal.<\/p>\n\n<p>IAI-supported teams must be part of a consortium with countries funded by additional agencies.
