Last days to send proposals to the SRI 2025 Congress

The Sustainability Research and Innovation (SRI) Congress is a global event, renowned for bringing together leaders in research, government, civil society, and the private sector, seeking to catalyze sustainable and inclusive solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. Organized by the Belmont Forum and Future Earth, SRI 2025 will take place from 16 June to 19 next year in Chicago, Illinois (United States).

Applications for sessions will be open until 7 December at 17:00 Panama time. Organizers are interested in interactive, informative, and inclusive sessions that provide all participants with a variety of ways to participate. The goal of the conference is to offer opportunities to make new connections and achieve concrete actions to implement sustainable solutions.

Session proposals can take one of the following formats:

  • Panel discussion: Presentations followed by questions and answers (60 minutes).
  • Workshop: Inclusive sessions to build capacity or teach skills (60-90 minutes).
  • Interactive sessions: Participatory design to share ideas and advance solutions.

The call is open to groups from all sectors: research, government, business, arts, technology, civil society and more. Participation is especially encouraged from young professionals, early career researchers, indigenous peoples and communities from low- and middle-income countries.
