Larisse Faroni-Perez

Larisse is a biologist and has a PhD in Ecology. She is trained in Climate Change, Ocean Governance and Geoethics, Scenarios and Modeling on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, and Innovation and Science Diplomacy. Larisse joined the IAI STeP Program in its second generation. 

Larisse is based in Brazil and has worked as a university professor and researcher on various climate change and ocean related projects and is the founder and CEO of Instituto Geração Oceano X. She is actively learning and participating in policy improvements and committed to shaping the sustainability agenda.  

Larisse worked as the Executive Secretary for the Coordination of the Brazilian Marine and Coastal Assessment on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services by BPBES. At the IAI, Larisse supports the Directorate in scientific, strategic, and executive activities.
