IAI signs agreement with COIBA-AIP to strengthen regional scientific cooperation

The Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) and COIBA-AIP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the COIBA-AIP Science Station have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and information exchange between the two entities.

COIBA-AIP, recognized for its crucial role in promoting the national scientific strategy, led by the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), joins the IAI in the pursuit of common goals. The two institutions share a commitment to the generation of comprehensive and transdisciplinary scientific knowledge capable of informing global change mitigation and adaptation measures and supporting policy decisions.

The IAI Directorate hopes that the collaborations resulting from this agreement will provide the actors involved with an enhanced capacity to achieve the objectives outlined in the Agreement for the Establishment of the IAI.
