Manuela is a biochemical engineer with a master’s degree in process and product design. She has over five years of experience in the formulation and development of research projects in bioeconomy and biotechnology, focusing on bioprospecting, technology foresight, analysis of biobased value chains and webs, and the assessment of the potential of plant species, fungi, and non-timber forest products (NTFPs) to contribute to sustainable territorial development. Additionally, she has participated in theory of change exercises using systems thinking, capacity-building initiatives for regional productive projects, and scientific communication efforts. Her work also includes fostering connections among diverse actors within the science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.
