Gonzalo Rivelli is an agronomist who graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (FAUBA) in 2016. His interest in crop production led him to complete a thesis on maize, collaborate on wheat trials, and pursue an internship at Purdue University (USA). He earned a PICT doctoral fellowship and later a CONICET fellowship to complete his Ph.D., which he defended in 2025 at both FAUBA and the Austral University of Chile (UACh). Gonzalo currently teaches in the Plant Production Department at FAUBA and holds a postdoctoral fellowship co-funded by CONICET and CREA. His research project with CREA focuses on estimating yield and grain quality gaps in maize, wheat, and soybean under rainfed conditions in Argentina’s Pampas region. He integrates experimental and farmer field data with simulation models to assess the impact of management practices across diverse environments.
