Emily Lara is an Environmental Engineer and Promotion and Outreach Analyst at the National Institute of Biodiversity (INABIO). She has experience in non-governmental organizations and in coordinating environmental projects. At INABIO, she supports processes related to biological collections, contributes to citizen science initiatives, and collaborates on bioeconomy-oriented projects and scientific outreach efforts. She has contributed to the Education for Sustainable Development in Schools of Ecuador Project (IKI–GIZ), providing support in information management and technical coordination activities. She also participates in the Natural Capital Project (NatCap), focused on implementing the Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) approach in the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve, in collaboration with Stanford University, the Inter-American Development Bank, and national institutions.
