Dr. Grunauer, MD, MSc, PhD, has degrees from Universidad Central del Ecuador, Universidad de Sao Paulo-Brazil and University of Birmingham (UK). Michelle Grunauer is the Dean of the Medical School at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Professor at the Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University. She specializes in Critical Care, Mental Health and Palliative Medicine. Her research interests relate to the integration of Mental Health and Palliative Medicine to Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Her goal is to assure that in Medicine humanism and technology evolve at the same pace.
