Dr. Paruelo is a professor at the Faculty of Agronomy at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and at the Faculty of Sciences of UDELAR in Uruguay. He’s a Senior Investigator of the National Research Council of Argentina, Argentina. His research interest is in the ecology of arid grasslands and he has been involved in the characterization of ecosystem services, assessing changes in land use and land use planning.
