Dr. Bert is an agronomist with a PhD in agricultural sciences at the Faculty of Agronomy from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. His research is on various aspects of farming systems: climate change and eco-physiology of crops changes in tenure and land use, including variability , hydrology, decision making.He is currently the leader of the Research and Development Unit of La Asociación Argentina de Consorcios Regionales de Experimentación Agrícola (AACREA). He is a consultant to companies and public bodies related to the agricultural sector.
